When I get started on a project, I’m a bit like a dog with a bone; I won’t put it down. I chew away, not wanting to let go, until it’s done. In the last month, I’ve gnawed away on 2 bones: NaBloPoMo and (as of two weeks ago) our kitchen remodel. Here I am at the tail end of both, and whereas I really didn’t want to put the “kitchen bone” down today, I couldn’t drop the commitment I made to myself and my blogging buddies to finish NaBloPoMo.
Therefore, on Day 29, sitting down for the first time since 7 this morning, glass of wine in hand (read: forgive any typos), I’m going to keep this post simple. This is for everyone at the beginning, in the middle, or at the tail end of a project (like NaBloPoMo or kitchen remodel) or raising children:
There is nothing so fatal to character as half finished tasks. ~David Lloyd George
Perfect quote! Are you going to rest when NabloPoMo is done?????? 🙂
