Since I’m a gardener, I vacillate between claiming fall and spring as my favorite season. Spring is the season of rebirth but, to me, fall is the season of contemplation and the time to still myself. I love fall–the colors and smells, the warm sweaters and fires beckon me to come inside, both physically and metaphorically.
I know I’ve written about this very idea lately, and because I do savor this time of year, it likely won’t be the last time I write about it. But, today, I will keep my thoughts simple and instead share the words of another.
Which is your favorite season and why?
NaBloPoMo Day 8 🙂
I love fall while it lasts…..I just wish it lasted longer.:-) Lovely sentiments by Emeline Smith–thanks for sharing those.

I’m definitely in the Spring camp as far as seasons go. I love the explosions of color, the warmth, breezes, and after a season of hibernating, I so love getting my hands dirty.

I love getting my hands dirty, too, Christine. I love the signs of rebirth and the sounds and sights of the birds as they return to the business of preparing nests. The fall, however, speaks to my soul and the need to prepare for the winter’s rest.
